Learn about the capabilities of the Connected Spaces Platform and what it can do for your business.
We’ve spent more than five years with over 60 developers working on this technology and have gone through rounds of testing on public experiences and private betas with developers. We’re open sourcing the Connected Spaces Platform to help other businesses do the same. It’s free-to-use middleware that facilitates interoperability enabling any company or developer to create spatial experiences across platforms and devices.
Let’s build tomorrow, together.
Who can use it?
-
Everyone with a mobile phone, tablet, laptop, desktop, (and soon headset) seeking to explore open Connected Spaces across realities.
Using these platforms and applications built on the CSP, users can quickly create a digital twin of their space (home, office, etc.) or create a new virtual space, and share it with coworkers, friends, or family. Users can bring in 2D and 3D content, add objects and interactivity, and socialize with friends in the apps, or on the web.
-
Developers using Unreal, Unity, or web, seeking a way to accelerate the development of spatial applications that work cross-reality, and cross-device.
-
Experienced enterprises and larger teams who want to engage with their customers and employees in their own cross-reality spaces.
Integrate existing cloud services (user accounts, multiplayer networking, storage, etc.), or use Magnopus Cloud Services to leverage the cross-reality frameworks to administer geospatially-anchored AR content on physical sites, digital twins, or in virtual spaces.
How does it work?
-
Our bridge layer – the Connected Spaces Platform – is a cross-platform SDK. It keeps all users in sync with each other, the things they interact with, and the world no matter where they are or what application they're using.
-
We’ve built spaces in Unreal Engine, Unity, web, and iOS.
We have consumer-friendly solutions on most major platforms to provide an authoring interface for content that can easily be synced cross-device through the Connected Spaces Platform.
-
Our Magnopus Cloud Services that can hook up to the Connected Spaces Platform feature a unique architecture, with scalable load-balanced services hosted in regional AWS servers across the world. This ensures your spaces can scale to meet demand, automatically.
“By releasing the Connected Spaces Platform as open source, Magnopus is providing the intrinsic services developers need to create cross-platform cross-device multiplayer connected real-time 3D experiences in the spirit of openness that will accelerate adoption, innovation, and progress for all of us. I congratulate Magnopus on this milestone; have deep gratitude for their making this huge R&D investment available as open-source; and I look forward to what the community builds.”

While the applications are infinite…
here are some easy things to imagine.
A business could create a space that embodies its brand and products, from a traditional storefront to a fantastical world, with or without a physical space as a foundation.
A museum might bring physical exhibits to life through digital layers of content tailored to different ages, nationalities, and interest groups. And make the same exhibits accessible to visitors both on and off-site.
A concert, conference, or other exhibition could enhance a physical venue with an experiential or operational digital overlay, allowing on-site fans to access content, performers, or presenters through their phones. While remote attendees could participate in the same experience via a digital twin accessed through the web or applications.
It’s all possible.
We've spent years optimizing our services
to be as scalable and efficient as possible, but you might have your own already. Either works.
In order to provide robust, persistent, real-time connectivity, Connected Spaces Platform (CSP) must be connected to a set of Cloud Services.
Whether built and hosted by you, or accessed through Magnopus, there are costs associated with the consumption of cloud services, as with any utility like electricity or water.
The repositories include all the requirements for an organization to connect its own applications and services to interface with CSP. Or for simplicity, we can provide access to existing Magnopus Cloud Services, ready-made to support CSP with optimal performance.
We’ve tested our technology at scale, in the digital and physical worlds.
Let's build tomorrow, today.
If you’re a business looking for a cross-reality solution to unite the physical and digital worlds, we’d love to hear from you.
